OUR PROGRAMMES

Strengthening communities, livelihoods and ecosystems to withstand climate and environmental shocks.

Resilient

Communities.

Healthy Ecosystems.

Brighter Futures.

Climate Resilience

and Environment

WHY THIS MATTERS

People, Communities and the Planet Are Interconnected

Climate change, environmental degradation and unsustainable land use are increasing the vulnerability of smallholder farmers and communities. More frequent droughts, changing rainfall patterns, soil degradation and loss of natural resources threaten livelihoods, food security and community wellbeing. We work to strengthen climate resilience and promote sustainable environmental practices so that communities can adapt, thrive and protect the natural resources they depend on.

Our Programme Goal

To strengthen the ability of communities and ecosystems to withstand, adapt to and recover from climate and environmental pressures through climate-smart livelihoods, sustainable natural-resource management, restoration and locally led resilience action.
